Potsdam
A un pas de la capitale allemande se trouve Potsdam. Bien évidemment, Potsdam est connu pour son célèbre château, mais je vous en parlerai dans un prochain article dédié au parc Sanssouci. Plus calme que Berlin, cette ville est agréable pour s’y balader et se poser au bord du lac et de la Havel. Je vous conseille de la découvrir à pied ou bien la traverser à vélo pour ne rien rater.

Potsdam is one step from the German capital. Of course, Potsdam is known for its famous castle, but I will talk about it a coming post dedicated to Sanssouci park. Calmer than Berlin, this city is pleasant to walk and have a break next to the lake and the Havel river. I advise you to discover the city on foot or cross by bicycle so you won’t miss anything.
Commençons par le centre ville. En passant par la place du Vieux Marché au style baroque, vous verrez au bout de la rue la Nauener Tor.

Let’s start with the town centre. From the Old Market square, you will see at the end of the road the Nauener Tor.
Juste à côté, vous trouverez le quartier hollandais.

Nearby there is the Dutch Quarter.
Pour une pause déjeuner, je vous conseille le restaurant “Le Petit” sur la Mittelstrasse. Et pour les fans de cheesecakes, vous trouverez votre bonheur au Café Guam (Mittelstrasse 39).

For a lunch break, I recommend the restaurant “Le Petit” on the Mittelstrasse. And for the cheesecake lovers, you should go to Café Guam (Mittelstrasse 39).
La rue piétonne qui se trouve au centre historique est notamment sympathique pour se promener et découvrir le Brandenburger Tor de Potsdam.

L’Hôtel de Ville / Town Hall
Juste à côté du lac, vous pouvez profiter de la vue tout en vous baladant dans le “Neuer Garten”.

Ne manquez pas le petit quartier de maisons russes.
